~Cereal? I once heard Marie Shrivers share how her mother would put a piggy-bank on the dinner table & say; "I would normally be spending this amount of money for groceries but now we're putting the money in the piggy bank and you're eating cereal so I can send the money to Africa."

So thats what we're doing. Eating cereal instead of our normal meal for as many meals as it takes to raise $100. And hoping you can join us too...

~Building a house:

In 2007 the kids and I committed to raising $19,000 to build a house for 8 orphans and 1 widow in Gulu, Northern Uganda With the help of friends we are just under half way...but need a big push to get there!!

This is such a worthwhile cause. For those who have seen the DVD 'Invisible Children' these are the children we will be helping.

The kids and I really appreciate your support! It's always good to look out past our own 4 walls and to the needs of others...and besides the kids often like cereal better than dinner anyway!!
